Dr. Barzilay most recently sponsored the Zareinu Educational Centre Zareinu Educational Centre of Metropolitan Toronto provides individualized therapies and treatments with an adapted education rich in Jewish teachings and traditions. "We believe that every child is a valuable member of our community. Each has the right to receive an adapted education, opportunities for improving life skills and communication, and respect for their individual strengths."

Father and Son Domenic & Vincent took part in the MS Bike Tour to raise funds for Multiple Sclerosis research.

"The MS Bike Tour has been a critical part of the MS Society's fundraising efforts for over 20 years. Proceeds from this event and others like it fund innovative programs and services and support ground breaking research dedicated to finding a cure.

Having multiple sclerosis means that one morning you may not be able to walk when you wake up. Or that you may suddenly have impaired vision. Or that your memory will fail you for no apparent reason. The symptoms of MS are many and vary for everyone. Canada has one of the highest rates of MS in the world which is why we need your help."

Dr. Barzilay is proud to support the 3rd Annual JDRF Hamilton Police Tournament of Triumph!

"There are approximately 300,000 Canadians living with type 1diabetes (T1D). Canada has the sixth highest incidence rate of type 1 diabetes in children 14 years of age or younger in the world. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease in which the body mistakenly attacks the beta cells that produce insulin, a hormone enabling the body to convert blood glucose to energy. It is the most severe form of diabetes, striking at any age."

About the Walk
"We are taking to the streets pathways, sidewalks and parks across Canada to raise money for breakthrough ALS research and services to support those living with ALS and their families. We need you to join us.

WALK for ALS is a fun, family friendly event that occurs across the country each year in more than 78 communities and is organized by local volunteers. In 2010 the Walk generated over $2.4 million, thanks to more than 18,000 walkers and more than 165,000 donors. "
