Dear Patients:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM OUR OFFICE

Thanksgiving has come and gone and with that brings the year-end closer everyday. We hope you had a great Thanksgiving weekend and that you are enjoying the weather before the snow falls.

We have a few short notes and reminders from our office.

Ti-Cat Tickets
The final game of the regular season is coming up soon and there is still time to enter the contest for the final game. Please remember this is also the final game at Ivor Wynne Stadium and it is bound to be a great game as well as a celebration of Ivor Wynne Stadium.

Insurance Year End Information
A small note about the dental insurance that you may have. Most insurance plans run on a calendar year, and as such your plan may be ending on December 31st. It should renew in the New Year, but if you need a lot of work done and your plan has an annual maximum, you should consider having some of the treatment that you need taken care of before the year-end. If you do not use the insurance it does NOT carry a balance over into the next year.

Please note: Our office is normally closed between Christmas and New Year so it would be in your best interest to book your necessary appointments as soon as possible.

ArcelorMittal-Dofasco
As you may be aware, the ArcelorMittal-Dofasco plan is changing in the New year. Please remember this affects all members on the plan, both current employees and retirees alike. If you have any questions, please call our office and ask to speak to Liz as she may be able to help you make sense of the changes and how these changes affect you individually based on your dental history with our office.

Have a great month!

Dr. Ron Barzilay

Wild Blueberry Tart

While the hot dry summer reduced the pick your own apple crops, Autumn blueberry and strawberries are still available at many pick your own farms or can be found in abundance at your local grocery store. Picking your own food can be extremely satisfying and allows you to know exactly how fresh the foods you are feeding your family are.

If you can't make it out to the farm for this recipe, we suggest looking for berries that were grown locally in Ontario. This not only supports local farmers but will likely be closer to their harvest date and more flavourful.
